SP2 not loading

Plz help!

I just installed sp2 on my system. I had Windows XP pro (no service pack installed). The installation went fine. When I rebooted my system windows begins to load and the welcome screen appears. Then the machine restarts. I tried it again and the same thing happens. I am using a DFI LANPARTY SLI-dr motherboard which requires a 24-pin psu. Mine is a TT Butterfly 20 pin psu. I have left the other four pins unconnected. Is it becos of the psu?
