SP2 keeps asking for cerificates on every site, it's very annoying

I've tried editing and unchecking some security settings with no luck in IE or Firefox

XP SP2 or 2003 SP2? What is the message you see?

Might be a date/time issue on your PC. Check that.

Yeah, I kept getting told that the certificates for every site I visited had expired. Turned out my computer year was set to 2167 or something like that.
