SP2 and internet going down...

Anyone have any clue why this is happening? Ever since I installed winxp sp2 my internet connection will go down after 10 minutes or so then I have to completely reboot system to get connection back up. Ive disabled firewall option and either way it still goes down. Computer is connected directly to the cable modem since my router screwed up after I installed SP2 as well.
 
Wish I could answer your question Sammy. I installed SP2 on 2 other comps I have and didn't have a problem. Installed on my last one and can't get it to run. Says RPC is stopping and then reboots. Have tried a bunch of stuff and still can't get it to run. And it's the comp with my most important files on it.
