I have a V1 of this board that has been running for a couple months. It replaced a Soyo Dragon Plus which was rock solid for about 3 years. Only problem with the original board was a POS squealing chipset fan.

My current machine, with the V1 of this board, has a 2500+ Barton overclocked to 3200+ (2.09Ghz) and it solid as a rock. I am not a high end gamer, so a stable machine is more important than bleeding edge performance to me.

I order one of the V2's on Friday. My biggest gripe is the V2 loses one DDR slot for some unknown reason.

I certainly wouldn't be afraid of this board.

Soyo rebates are taking at least 16 weeks right now (so says my media card reader rebate form), and $50 rebate for Soyo Sy-k7vme board that I sent in May is not here yet. Some say, PC Chips bought them out and you will not get the rebate, but in a recent news (Aug. 10, 2004), Soyo totally denies the takeover by PC Chips. So I don't know what is up. At least the rebate here is only for $10. But still, $10 is $10. Not sure if you'll get it.

There is no manual for V2 at soyo's download site.

V1 had no CPU voltage adjustment. I wonder if V2 does?
