Soyo AS-370 converter card

I only bought two MSI 6905 slockets from Onvia when they were in stock ages ago. With the recent acquisition of several slot-based motherboards I no need several more, only problem is that Onvia doesn't have them, and everywhere else they seem to cost between $18 and $22 with shipping factored in.

Shipping at Chase seems to be pretty reasonable; I haven't seen any mention of Soyo slockets; their websites have no info available.. the USA website has a product page for the SY-370 product.

Damn... I was wondering why you were posting a hot deal on slockets with the Onvia MSI deal. But it is over? I was just getting ready to order a couple more ... Thanks for the post. How do these compare to the MSI ones?

Onvia does have them but "Out of Stock"... I think I ordered them last time they were out of stock and it didn't take to long. Is the MSI better than the Soyo one? I'm in no hurry...

Everyone seems to say that the MSI is the best. Some people also have good results with the ASUS 370-133 and Iwill Slocket-II. I saw one page comparing the MSI, a generic slocket, and the IWill. The MSI took a P3-550 up to 138FSB, the slocket generic managed 140, and the Iwill made it up to 150 @ 1.7, although it wasn't able to run at a few speeds in between. Don't remember the URL..

I know that Onvia 'has' the MSI slocket. They've also got the ASUS and a few others. but none of them are in stock, and they won't answer questions about availability.

It may simply be unrealistic to expect to find good slockets for $10-$12, unless Onvia gets them back, that is.

Has both abit and iwill 2 for 10.50... a lot cheaper but shipping is a bit more.. so unless u order 10 of these guys..
