This has got to be the strangest problem I've encountered. Some time ago, I bought 3 Soyo Dragon KT333 Lite boards with 3 Duron 1.2Ghz processors.
One build is working fine in a Soyo + AthlonXP configuration.
One build (Soyo + Duron) worked fine until last week, when a power surge blew the mobo away.
Now the third is the ugly duck.
It wouldn't boot with the AthlonXP nor with the 1.2Ghz Durons. I took to my techie to test other component on it, and he was able to run the board of a 900mhz Duron! My 1.2 Durons or any AthlonXP wouldn't work in that board, although they work fine in other boards! We've tried different power supplies, BIOS flashing and memory modules. The mobo is set at a 100FSB.
I guess the only solution is an RMA, but just shipping will cost me 50 bucks. Anyway, does anybody here have any thoughts?
