Soyo Dragon2 I875P and RAM?

In about 4 months, I'll be putting together a new system and have decided on the Soyo SY-P4I875P Dragon2 (Platinum Edition) motherboard. Even though I've seen reviews that rate a lot of other I875 boards higher, I have decided on this one for the features that it offers me. Here's what the Soyo site says about the Memory for this board:

Memory Type
Dual DDR400/333
Memory Description
Four 184-pin DDR SDRAM 2.5V DIMM sockets
Support DUAL channel DDR 400/333 up to 4GB (ECC memory)

I'm probably going to get Corsair memory for this system and am not overclocking. The Corsair site shows a recommended configuration for 1GB with my situation as 1xTWINX1024-3200C2 memory. I have a few questions on this:

1. What's the difference between black, platinum and low latency and would any of these be better for my situation? I'm also looking at the Pro Series as a possibility. It seems black and platinum are just colors of the heat spreaders and LL is mostly for overclocking. Any other things about this that anyone can think of?

2. Would 4 512 sticks work in this motherboard or has anyone tried this? I'll basically be buying 2 1xTWINX1024-3200C2 sets in that case. Yes, I know 2GB is a lot, but I'd like to do it if I can because I don't upgrade my computers often and I want to be ready for future games (esp. the custom maps that sometimes require a lot of RAM). Based on other threads at hardware forums, it seems that Intel and Asus have I865/I875 MBs that can run 2GB of memory with 4 sticks. What about Soyo?

3. Soyo says these MBs can take a max of 4GB, but Corsair shows max. memory as 2GB. What's up with that or is it just some marketing thing by Soyo and a covering their a$$ thing by Corsair, hehe.

4. What's the max. memory XP Pro will recognize?

Thanks for any help.

I've found out a few things on my own, but anyone that has any more info. it will be appreciated:

1. black and platinum are just the colors of the heat spreaders and low latency (more aggressive RAM timings) is a little more expensive

2. Apparently, the 4 sticks works in Intel and Asus MBs and should most likely work in this one if I get ECC. I've also heard that it's good to use ECC in all I875 MBs. Has anyone tried 2GB in the Dragon2 version?

3. not completely positive on this yet

4. it seems XP Pro can take 4GB, but still not sure.
