I'm using the new Dragon+ with win2k and everything except the onboard audio and LAN were supported in-box, if I recall from the last time I reformatted. Now the Via4in1 drivers set up hardware that's already installed, but is there much of a difference in running them? I haven't installed them, yet, as there hasn't been a reason to. If there's a performance increase, though, I might just do it.

I'm running the same board with XP Pro running rock solid without loading the drivers also. Unless you run into some problems, I wouldn't load them.
