I am excited to report that my motherboard with the current bios "kvxa2ba2.bin +promise bios hack" is flawless. It raid performance is excellent and there is no stablity issue. Note: (This will not work if you have 2xBaracuda IV. These drives do not perform well with Hardware Raid. Seagate admit this themself. I am now confirming it.)

My system:
Soyo Dragon Plus combo with XP1800+
Crucial 256MB PC2100
Sony 16x52 DVD, Plextor 24x10x40 CDRW
100GB Western Digital Special Edition - Sandra Score @21932
2x80GB Western Digital 7200rpm ($75 Best Buy) - Sandra Score @42000
And more....

WARNING: Bios Hacking is for the brave and knowledgable, do not attempt this if you are weak at heart. There is a high chance that you will screw up your motherboard and void your warrenty. BIOS HACKING AT YOUR OWN RISK, I am not responsible if you void your warrenty.

Here is the website with all the tools and info on how to hack your promisebios:

For those who want to know how:
I had two 80GB Seagate Baracuda IV(Raid) and no matter what I do, even with a hacked bios, it's slower than the benches of itself without RAID. So I went out and purchases 2x80GB WD from last week deal for $75 @Best Buy.
With my hacked bios intact, I created a new 64K stripe array and format it NTFS with default cluster size(4K) in WinXP under my WD100GB-SE. I was dazzled by new the speed of 41966. Here are some other result:
64K Stripe Default cluster: 41966
64K Stripe 16K cluster: 41642
64K Stripe 64K cluster: 41529
16K Stripe 4K cluster: 41835
16K Stripe 16K cluster: 41788
16K stripe 64K cluster: 41640

Not much different eh? 64K Stripe and 4K cluster seem to be the best of them all. Just then I wonders if the regular Soyo promise bios "Fasttrack Lite" would perform as well as my new bios so I flashed the regular Soyo bios. Benches result were in the 32000 plus or minus with the regular bios, therefore I went back to my hacked bios which is now benches @42000. One thing I notice is that I have to format my drive with Default Cluster under my WD100GB-SE Bios, and if I let WindowsXP installation format my drive it would not be as fast.

I've flashed my hacked bios twice and my computer is currently running super fast and stable. I can upload my hacked bios if anybody interested, but I will not be responsible for any mis-haps.
