soyo dragon plus compatibility

am looking at getting a video capture solution to capture my vhs to computer for dvd burning....with good quality and no frame drops, and no audio/synch probs.

Have the soyo dragonplus...can anyone out there tell me if there is any compatibility issues between the dragon plus and the matrox rt2500?? any one using both? i know that matrox says there is an issue with the via apollo kt266..but dragon plus is kt266a...so was wondering....

Other than that, if there is or not, can anyone else recommend other analog to digital solutions other than the rt 2500 that might be better, for under $1000? thanks..t
