Soyo Dragon Plus-Can't get bios to flash"source file not found"or it hangs

I can't get my soyo dragon plus board to flash it's bios.I have tried several times and no go.I have followed the instructions that soyo gives exactly.If I type in the bios file name with the bin extension it seems to look to the floppy drive but then the floppy just sits there and runs but never does anything.If I type in the bios name without the bin extension it will ask me if I want to save the old bios and I do that but then it says"source file not found".I have tried different versions of awdflash but nothing seems to work.Anyone ever had this problem or know of possible solution?I would appreciate any ideas or insight into this problem.thanks in advance for any help.

Did you try to start over using a new diskette? And redownload the bios file and start over. Sometimes if you have the disk in the drive at bootup..... it will automatically begin the flash process for you (without typing anything). Make sure if it does start the flash automatically upon bootup.. that you do not touch anything or restart your system, etc..

Let us know what you find out.


Also.. make sure you have a "bootable" floppy made. WITH the system files installed on it.

I did end up getting my bios to flash but I had to change the file name for it to flash. The next thing though was that I had no v-core adjustments at all in my bios. I tried flashing all of the bios's posted on Soyo's site but none of them would add the v-core. I spoke to technicians at Soyo USA but they could not explain it. The v-core voltage setting was just totally missing from the bios of my board. When I sent it back to NCIX their technicians tried it out also and could not fix it. Soyo Taiwan e-mailed me back and said it was impossible but it was. I received a new one that had the newest bios, has the v-core and is working great now.This motherboard is very fast , I love all of the features and it is very stable. Thanks for the help.
