Hi guys,
I have just setup my first self-made system and all things have gone well. I am running a Athlon XP 1800+ with a Volcano 6 CU+ and of course the Soyo Dragon Plus SY-K7V Motherboard.
The manual is great in all regards except for the bios setup (running the latest , where it merely repeats what is shown on the actual bios screen, but does not go into details as to what they do... I was hoping some of you who are more experience would know.
Two primary quesitons:
Under the Soyo Combo FEATURE menu in the bios (using the latest K7VXA-2BA2 1/2/2002):
I am unsure as to whether to keep the
[System Performance] on Normal or Turbo....?
[Spread Spectrum] Disabled...... what would this be?
Also perhaps some of you may have links to boards/pages that mention what to set the bios settings on besides the factory default...
Also any of you who may have suggestions as to what bios is the best overall...
This thread may help other new mobo users also.
