Soyo Dragon Plus and Sisoft Sandra?

I just put a system together with a soyo dragon plus mainboard, Athlon XP 1700+, 512megs Crucial DDR, and a Geforce 3 Ti200.

I was benchmarking the pc under Windows XP using Sisoft Sandra. With the "turbo" feature enabled in the bios, the memory benchmark either locks the computer or immediately resets it. With the "turbo" feature disabled, Sandra will finish the benchmark but scores considerably less than the Amd 761 chipsets it is compared to.

The computer so far has not had any stability problems except for the memory benchmark. Anyone know what the problem might be?

Do u have the latest SandraT?

Its version 1.11.8.53

with my soyo and memory at default stetings i get faster than a amd 761 motherboard at cas 2 (while mine is cas 2.5)



if u use older sandra it had a bug with athlon xp and memory benchamrks (it didnt show the right performance. meaning it wasnt reliable benchamrk) newer one fixes it

For your comparison, this is what I am getting with the Dragon Plus in Sandra version 1.11.8.53 with my XP1600+ and 2X256Mb(512Mb) Crucial PC2100 DDR 2.5CL.

Mem Bandwidth 2266/2126

My BIOS setting are at 133Mhz CL2 and 2-6-2 but I have tried SPD, etc, etc.

I do have this overclocked at 144Mhz Bus which shows in Sandra as Mem Bus at 144Mhz and not the 133fMhz as shown in the BIOS. This is still a little less than the AMD 761 Chipset compared marks, but close.

I could not get mine to run stable at 144Mhz Bus with the Turbo enabled. The only difference I could see in the BIOS from the manual settings above is the timing showed CL2 and 2-5-2.

Is that version downloadable as freeware like the past version??? Cause memory scores are obviously scored differently now...I get 712/864 with mysis735 and sandra 2001se.

Version 2001.5.8.11 is the downloadable standard version. Dated 06/01

Version 1.11.8.53 is the most recent Pro version. Dated 11/01 This one costs you money!
