Hi,

I NEED 4 USB ports.. (I have 4 USB devices I must have hooked up at all times)

Now of course, it comes with the two right on the back. I wish they would have included a-la my MSI mobo a connector to give me 2 more on the back.

My Question: How do I get more than 2 USB ports? I know it can have up to 6.... annnnd...

How should I set up the USB so it all will work in my BIOS? (all enabled???)

Thank You for any ideas.

My friend, don;t worry, just go out and get a USB Hub, you can easily expand your system. I've got Five USB devices running on my computer, and it give you the opiton of leaving one direct USB prot for you Mouse, or USB-to-Network adapter...

In my BIOS tho, what would I set it for? It has USB 1, 2, 3, 4, 1+2 , 3+4 etc or.. all enabled.

Oh, I also forgot to post my other question, which is really bothering me.

Does the Green LED light always have to be on as well as the LAN light? I understand it runs a lil current through the board at all times for the WOL. But, what if I don't want the system to ever WOL? Can't that be all shut off? It also keeps my KB lights and the ethernet port lights always lit as well. I use a NetGear nic, so I have the onboard nic disabled. I can't believe they would make it so it keeps your KB all lit up.

Thank You.

I don't have one of these (yet) but you might want to check the manual for the motherboard. I think I remember hearing you could disable the WOL if you wanted to. It should have something in there about that. As for the lights on the keyboard, it might be setup to where you can boot your computer up by pressing the spacebar and not the power button, a kind of deep standby. I had a friend whose computer worked that way.

did you motherboard come with the bundled card reader ? that also has 2 usb ports, puts 'em right in the front.
as far as the lights always being on , nothing you can do except turn off your power strip\surge protector.
good luck

I have the smart card reader, but will never use it, and don't want to take up that bay for it. I am trying to find a bracket that has 2 USB ports on it, that just has wires off it that plugs right into the USB header. I have one of these on an older PC, but can't seem to find one anywhere now. All they have are PCI ones, and hubs.

As for the lights, that can't be the way it's meant to be. I searched on another forum and see some ppl have their mouse staying lit, while I have the KB lit up. I have disabled the WOL, and on board nic. ??

Confused, but appreciative.

try thisUSBgear.com
the thing about the lights being on is the stand-by power just incase you have WOL type stuff enabled . belive it's hardwired on the motherboard . if you find a good way to turn it off please share.
good luck
