The FastTrak 100 Lite Controller onboard my new Dragon board has developed a very frustrating malfunction which at this point seems to be hardware related rather than software configuration... As I keep trying new ideas I post my progress here, yet now I fear I'm out of options. I'm still hoping someone out there knows a possible solution before I RMA this thing. Windows 2000 will not install (when boot from CD: error is "Not Harddrives Detected" when win98 upgraded and files are on drive error is "Inacessible_Boot_device", Windows 98 will install and detect the controller but will not function after installing controller drivers. The Raid drives boot (win98 is on it now) but the FastTrak utility doesn't even detect the controller after "attempting" to install drivers. This appears to be a resource conflict but I cannot decifer a method of altering the resources this onboard controller uses. There are no cards in the system besides the Gainward GeForce 3. I've tried everything short of a soldering iron. I've tried the board sitting outside the chassis in case it was a short circuit, I've tried upgrading the bios to the newest available. Everything works flawlessly except this darn controller. So thanks for your patience and thanks for any information you may have.
