SOYO DRAGON + MOBO

Thinking of buying one at £150.00 here in old blighty.

According to reviews this is one kick ass board, at the moment I have a Aopen K133A Chipset based board which is working fine with no problems with a 1.4 processor.

Can anybody inform me if the speed difference would be noticeable and if being able to use the Raid Sockets as separate IDE channels is a real advantage.

I am not a overclocker or a tweaker but to my novice computing brain having all my IDE devices on separate channels looks attractive.

Cheers😕

Definitely DDR is the way to go today. I am going to get a lot of pot shots here:
I have an Iwill KT133A (KK266) and MSI KT266A (K7T266 Pro2-RU) board side by side with same config and to tell you the truth I am really hard pressed to see the speed fifference except that the MSI feels quicker but maybe its more like a mental thing than real. 3DMark for example only gives me 50-100 more marks in the MSI even though memory bandwidth is better in the MSI board. Using GF2MX in both systems.

Using RAID sockets as regular IDE ports only frees up the Prim and Sec ports for say a burner or something else otherwise its the same.
