I have a Soyo Dragon+ MB w/ AMD 1600 that I am having some serious issues with.
I ahve a clean install of WinXP Pro installed on it and I am still having random lockups and crashes to desktop in every 3D game I play.
Looking at the IRQ assignments, the GeForce3 that I have along with the onboard NIC and sound of the Dragon+ are all on IRQ11. Probably not good....

How do I get the video card onto its own IRQ? Bios? I don 't think forcing IRQs in XP is possilbe.

PLEASE help, Im at my wits end here guys (and gals)

Oh BTW latest drivers/Bios for everything. In fact I even tried a Bios for the Dragon+ that was released on 8/12/02 to hopefully cure the issue :(

TIA

Ok so its normal/ok to share IRQs... so then what do you think about lock ups?
You think its the geforce? I guess I could go get another one and try that..

I cant move cards around.. everything is built into motherborad. Only other card in any slot is an IEEE car towards the botton (slot4 I think)

Ugh this is killing me,.

I have also a soyo dragon+. Everything enabled plus TV card plus SCSI card plus a sceond network adaptor and a Gforce3. Solid. Occasional lock up, maybe once in a week, depending on what I m doing.
The most problems I have had are from bad seated PCI cards. I have build some computers by myself and the cards do not always fit perfectly. So I had do push here and there a little until everything worked fine and even then a twitch on the monitor cable could pull the GK a few millimeters out of place. The computer can boot but will lock or reboot very often.
If you are sure all your cards are properly installed (a little push on every card) check your bios and your drivers. I dont think its a problem with the mainboard or IRQs but I am not sure about that.
