I'm a BIG fan of the SOYO Dragon+ MoBo. I'm now building my 6th system (I do it for some extra cash) based on the D+. My most recent box is a PACKED system with 5 IDE devices.
So, for the first time, I decided to try and fire up all for IDE connections on the board. No problems at all, WinXP is running well on the 60GB HD that I connected to the RAID IDE 3 connector.
Now, here is my question, building the box from the ground up was not a problem because of the available drivers, etc. Has any tried to move a running/active system disk from one of the standard IDE 1/2 connectors to the RAID IDE 3/4 connectors? Success or failures? What was the process?
Essentially, I would like to move my hard drive from a MASTER/SLAVE position on IDE 1/2 to a single MASTER on IDE 3/4. What do you guys think?
BTW: Like I said, I'm on my SIXTH build of a system on a Soyo Dragon+. No failures. No problems. Love the board. Every board was purchased from AccessMicro.
