Soyo Dragon and System Monitor!

I have had the Dragon for three days and started noticing the computer getting slower and slower. Windows media player and other programs would lock before opening. I had already rebuilt Windows 2K, downloaded updates, checked all hardware, worked the bios, nothing seemed to 'speed up' the system.
Of course, looking for the difficult fix, I never checked the task manager. When I did, it came up showing 100% CPU utilization. Duh, guess that might be why everything is unhappy. Killed the Soyo System Monitor and suddenly the computer was much faster and the utilization dropped to the normal 1-2%.
So, for you Soyo owners, and this may have been in that monster thread I grew tired of reading, system monitor in Win2K is bad juju.
Cheers
Greg
