i just completed a pc with a soyo sy-71s2 motherboard. it has 512mb of ram. when i bootup,
it checks the memory three times. with 512mb it takes a while. is there something in bios
that i can change to stop this? thanks in advance...Arthur

Yes there is.

Go into CMOS settings (hit <DEL> while it is POSTing) and it is on the second page . . . I forget the title of the page. Anyway, it will be set to complete or through memory test, and you want to reset it to quick test so it only checks it once.
