How do you set two hard drives work as RAID? The Bios on the ATA 100 Raid controller of Soyo 6BA+100 says "Evaluation Only" Is there any software that I have to buy separate to operate the Raid thing? Thank you.
From what I've gathered from the reviews, you don't need anything else. It is in the HPT100 bios. You need to enter the bios during boot up (not the BA+100 BIOS but the controller's BIOS, yeah I know that they reside on the same chip). From what I gather you can do your tweaking there.
Sorry I don't have details.
You are right, it should work just like that, but still the Bios shows a title that says:
HPT370 Bios
ver.093c (Evaluation Only)
1) I downloaded the updated driver
2) Set the mobo sequence to boot as SCSI, A, C,
They show in their site that the boot sequence should be HPT370, A, C, but the mobo doesn't have this option, except the one for SCSI, A, C,. Also, boots fine from A, C, SCSI.
Upgrade your SOYO BIOS to the newest one just posted at SOYO's site should be the "6bah2aa2.bin" and then install the latest HIGH POINT HPT370 drivers on SOYO's site that should be version 1.0.2 for whatever Windows version you're using make sure you download the correct one. I did and it works. Good Luck
