Soyo 24" Monitor on IBM ThinkPad

I bought the Soyo 24" monitor they had at OfficeMax for $300. Everyone says its a great panel, and it looks like one, but I can't get my resolution to go up.

Resolution 1920 x 1200 is set in display properties, but its actually showing 1024 x 768 on the screen.

Does my ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 just not support this monitor? If not, what can I do?

Go look at the documentation for that card and see if it supports this resolution. There's no such thing as "not supporting a monitor", only not supporting a given resolution. I'd say this is probably where your problems are.

Mobility drivers are typically provided by the reseller (IBM) rather than the vendor (ATI). So check IBM's website for specs on that chip, and even updated drivers.

I ran a Dell 2405 FPW at native res off a PCI Radeon 7500 so you may have a chance.
