Wow, some of you are seriously intense in your dislike of soy milk, as if bovine bodily fluids are not nasty just because one grew up with it.

Milk is fine; I drink it. I drink soy milk more because my lactose intolerance kicks in if I drink too much milk.

I think it's delicious. I drink it all the time. I also enjoy rice milk, especially when making horchata.

It is horrible with coffee though, especially if steamed. The "legumey" flavor is most pronounced after doing so, and it's just horrible.

My wife is lactose intolerant, so we've tried all the "milk substitutes" like soy milk and rice milk.
I don't know how you folks can drink that nasty stuff...Tastes HORRIBLE to me.
She finally settled for the "lactose-free" milk, and life is better. (even though it still doesn't taste quite right)

soy milk is great. I never drink regular milk anymore, or eat anything with milk in it.

I think it's pretty gross, but rice milk is even worse. Rice Milk tastes like a nasty bowl of rice in 100% liquid form.

depends on what you are having it with, i have soy with my vanilla chai at starbucks, but if i have a vanilla latte, i have whole milk. using soy milk as a creamer in coffee is good, if you use the right type of coffee, starbucks breakfast blend pairs well with it, brings out a nutty flavor.

I love the stuff, but I grew up on it too. Give me some (pardon my horrible Mandarin phonetics here) "sao bing yeo tiaw" and some hot soy milk any day for breakfast.

I can't keep track (and don't care) of all the "soy milk does/doesn't give you man tits"...most recently I think I read about it in M&F or Mens Fitness and it was fine.

I really like chocolate and coffee Silk soy milk. The vanilla is eh. To drink with meals, I prefer normal 1% milk

Which type? I've got soy milks confused. There's the Vitasoy you get in Chinatown, then theres the other jug ones. The former is amazing, while the jugs have a very strong 'soy' taste that is only ok. I wouldn't replace my cow milk with it, but it's a nice supplement.

A little bit of background: I have had acne of one sort or another since i was 14. I saw countless doctors, tried ever med (besides Accutane) out there, OTC and scripts. NOTHING seemed to work. About a year ago, I went to another dermatologist and he said stop drinking milk. I thought he was a quack, but because I did not want to go on Accutane, I decided it could not hurt to try. Sure enough, within two months, all acne was gone. It was amazing... espeically since I did not change my diet in any other way. I also stopped taking all persecription meds too.
