Southwest Airlines Carryon Question

Anyone able to confirm if you have succesfully carried on an 18" by 26" suitcase? Southwest's website says max of 16"x24", but I've seen bags I think had to have exceeded that....

yeah, I know it's a risk. I have to carry my lappy and a digicam though, and I hate to check my bag and have to hand carry both of them, be so much easier to carry on my bag and pack the camera. And of course not having to wait for my luggage at the other end.

Go to Target/Walmart/KMart and pick up an uber cheap carryon, if you are that concerned. I'd say $20 is worth it to not have to sit in baggage claims.

Just bring your laptop in a laptop bag, airlines don't count that as carry on. It's catagorized as a personal item "man purse".

So that'll leave you to bring an additional bag. But please don't be one of the many a-holes that try to bring aboard ridiculouslyl arge bags.

I usually bring my laptop bag and a backpack
