Southwest airlines $40/$80/$120 1-way flights between 8/23 and 11/16

Today is the last day for this deal. You get pretty good one-way airfare prices (0-450 miles is $40, 451-1250 miles is $80, 1251+ miles is $120).

Apparently Southwest doesn't fly to ORD... I was unaware the largest hub in the country. That seems a bit strange.

Southwest's history and success came from direct flights to smaller airports and not utilizing the hub and spoke system the larger airlines do. It wasn't until relatively recently that they got big enough to afford sending planes at the large hubs, but they still don't bother with all of them.

Plus Southwest's hub is MDW. They basically run that entire airport.

Besides SW appears to have a policy of 5 minutes or less from touch down to park at the gate.
That's why it hates DFW a/p.

Checked this last night and prices were effective for my travel dates of 6/24 to 7/26, both ways.

From Boston to Ft Lauderdale- not non-stop, changeover in Baltimore. Not worth the bother.
