NBC cancelled it right after the first season and TNT picked it back up. It must have been right at the time they were beginning their disastrous Jay Leno Show experiment. A baboon in a suit could run that company better.
 
I LIKE this show, but I wasn't too impressed with the season opener. (seems like they cut it for commercial breaks in weird places)

I'm glad Lucy Liu is gone...for now.

Anyone else hope that Sammy gets whacked? I get tired of his whiny bullshit. He's almost as whiny as Scott Caan's portrayal of "Danno" on Hawaii Five-0
 
I do like Southland. gritty and usually believable. I wouldn't think LAPD officers are involved in gunfire daily, but I wouldn't think it uncommon to hear it though.

Anyway,

Season opener was pretty good and I am looking forward to this season.
