I'm wondering how many of you have cooled your southbridge? I know most motherboards don't come with any kind of cooling for the southbridge...
I am thinking about adding a passive heatsink(zalman) on it and securing with thermal epoxy...

For those who have done this, is there a better passive heatsink? I mean the zalman heatsink I have would fit but its a little too tall... I want something more flat, no taller than PCI slots themselves...

see how hot it's getting after an hour or so on. probably not much. if you want a low profile cooler use a fanless northbridge cooler.
good luck

I put a Vantec iceberg passive cooler on the southbridge of my nForce2 boards because it was toasty enough to make you pull your finger off after a couple of seconds, partly due to my cranking the vdd up to 1.8v

That's what I use on my Epox 8RDA+.
