South Padre for Spring Break

Has anyone been there? Is it a good spring break location? How's the nightlife, etc?

I went to the Bahamas (Nassau) last year and loved it. I hope it's just as good or better.

 
Aaahh....memories of south padre island.......great place.

went there spring break senior year, couple of years back, MTV was there.

got lucky 3 times out of the 6-night stay....jackpot was 3rd time: with 2 women from univ of wiscon. i vividly remember that badger sweatshirt on the floor.
 
half of the time we would head over across the border. i remember there were many clubs wherein you pay $25 upfront and drink all you can sexonthebeach all night, stuff like that.

i guess the more money you bring then more fun.

i stayed at a beach house and it was cheaper to buy beer at the local grocery store and we invited girls from nearby hotels to party with us at the beach house. half of the time, we didn't even bother going to clubs afterwards coz everyone's already $#@% up.
