I still don't see why we (the U.S.) doesn't leave southeast Asia to the Japanese, Koreans, and Chinese. Let them deal with NK's problems.

Because N. K. is a global problem (read US as well). Instablility that includes a nuclear power (possible or not) could lead to world wide consequences in the worst case scenario. Too big a risk to leave unmonitored.
