South America on TV

I saw something on PBS a few weeks ago. I am pretty sure they were in South America, southernmost (Argentina/southern Chile). These two people were exploring this area, that looked crrraazy. Like another planet. Does anyone have any ideas?

Patagonia

Is that the special where they were searching for some sort of shipwreck...one of the people on the expedition's ancestor or something?

Well I know that the general area is Patagonia but it was..different. It seemed like a mix between yellowstone national park and desert/ slightly mountainous area.
And no, they weren't looking for a shipwreck, just exploring the area.

Was it this show?

That may have been it! Lemme look.

Edit: Yeah, the show I was watching did have llamas in it. They sheared them for wool...man I shouldve payed attention when it came on. The place they went to near the end was absolutely amazing.
