So watching this from Forgotten Weapons about a low cost 9mm handgun design and intended for the Native African market.

Looks like it could be a better pistol then the Hi-Point I used to have. and a shame that more wasn't produced.

Interesting history.

As godawful ugly as my Hi-Point is, still wouldn't trade it. That safety would be a deal killer.

Well i for don't trust the safety on Hi-Points due to how easy it is to unintentionally to move the said safety to fire. :oops: A boss of brought his .45 Hi-Point the same I did and I warned him about that and advised him to leave chamber empty due to this. He also had his son living with him which is another reason I told that.

If you're not comfortable with the safety and having the weapon locked and loaded, then by all means find one that you are comfortable with.

Well I already had a few handguns including a .38 Special snubnose that I was using for home protection, I just wanted a .45 Cal and the Hi-Point actually handled quite well for something that only cost me ~$200 or so IRC. And easily able to hit the target with no problems.
