Source tablet life stats

Does anyone know a good source for Android tablet stats. Writing up something for work related to using Android tablets in an industrial environment

1. How long do big manufactures (Example Samsung) wait between tablet releases? Gut feeling is about a year but it seems to be getting shorter.

2. How long will a typical tablet work before failing when it is used daily?

if you are in a industrial environment (i.e. sand, water, noise), you'll want a rugged tablet that handles this

some consumer tablets are rated for such cases like the Sony Tablet Z

on the business side, panasonic has their "Toughbook" line. they have a rugged tablet line as well (Windows 8 or android)

I'm looking for stats on mainstream tablets like the Nexus 7 or a Samsung Note. Are they necessarily suited to this type of work. Maybe not but our customers are price sensitive and it's hard to convince them to buy a tablet that is over 400 dollars. Even if it means they will have to be replacing them ever few years.
