I wonder how many times per day this font will need to be updated because of security flaws. I never heard of a font having security flaws, but I'm sure Adobe will find a way. :p

In all seriousness it does sound like a neat font for coding though, I see the points they make. I might try it out.

Ditto. Consolas is good with Cleartype, but I've yet to find anything better for X/Freetype2/Infanality than good old Dejavu Sans Mono.

It's now been a month. I manually set my Xorg DPI to actual DPI, and KDE's DPI for K-apps, since it doesn't use X's, y default, so that point sizes are the same physical size. I generally edit code at 10pt, and use 12pt for terminals.

On my desktop, at 88 DPI, it is not even close to Dejavu/Bitstream Vera Sans Mono, for code. Its sharp lines are just too much with the smaller pixel heights.

On my notebook, at 115 DPI, it is easier to read. It has all that nice skimability that Consolas does on Windows w/ Cleartype.
