Source Code Control on a Thumb Drive???

I'm working a small C# project that I'm coding in my "spare" time at home and at work. Right now I'm just manually copying the source from a thumb drive to home and work machines. The source is not under and kind of source control. As a professional developer this really, really bothers me. I hate the idea of not being under source control.

So, I would like to know from you guys if you've ever worked in this kind of situation and if you can recommend a very portable source control system that is integrated with MS Visual Studio .NET. I guess this could be completely contained on the thumb drive or could be online. Either way I would like it to be integrated in Visual Studio in similar fashion to Visual Source Safe (VSS) or Team Foundation Server (TFS).

I'm not opposed to making this an open source project so that I can use something like CodePlex, etc. But, I'm unfamiliar with how these systems integrate with Visual Studio. I don't have a ton of time to dedicate to the project, so I need to work as efficiently as possible... thus the need for tight, easy Visual Studio .NET integration.

I appreciate any suggestions or info you're able to provide.

Thanks!

I haven't come across one myself, but it'll be interesting to know if there is something out there which is super light and portable.

I have lately started using MESH to backup some of my personal projects/documents. It is convenient, but there is no IDE integration.

For reference, CodePlex has tight integration with Visual Studio, as it's actually Team Foundation Server based.

As far as something running just off the thumbdrive, I don't know of anything, but both Google Code/ CodePlex would work if online + open source project works for you.

CodePlex is Subversion, or at least it was when I set up a project a few weeks back. Maybe they support both.

As for integration there are several plug-ins for VS, for example,

That's an interesting option. Appears to be a good plugin for the fairly simple stuff I'll need (since it's only me working on it, no need for anything beyond basic stuff).

Thanks!

That's really neat. Doesn't exactly solve my problem, but certainly could come in useful and would eliminate the need for the thumb drive. Thanks a lot for the suggestion!

I looked into CodePlex a little more... they do allow integration with Visual Studio via Team Explorer. So I suppose they must be running TFS of some sort.
