Sounds quiet under Vista64

This is the machine in my sig. If I run my XP install I only have to have the volume on my speaker up slightly for it to be loud enough but under Vista, even when I set the volume slider in Vista all the way to 100 I have to turn the physical speaker way up. Is there another volume slider somewhere that I missed?
