Sounds for Samsung r610

Hey all

I just upgraded my cell to the Samsung r610 slider, very nice phone BTW. I was wondering about the ringtone sounds. I can't record something and then use it as a ringtone. I noticed that any recorded sounds are saved as .qcp files and the ringtones are MID. I noticed that you can download MID files over the net. What I am wondering is if there is a freeware sound converter that supports MID sound files and if so could I transfer those from my computer to my phone and use them as ringtones?

This phone has the ringtone store but you have to pay for it and I'd rather not. Not only that but it would be nice to be able to make my own tones just for fun.

Yes, to change the Voice Call Ringtone follow the steps below:

1. While in standby mode, press the OK button for Menu
2. Select Sounds (6)
3. Select Ringer Type (2)
4. Select Voice Calls (1)
* Select My Ringtones (1)
o Highlight the desired Ringtone, using the navigation keys
o Press the OK button to set the Ringtone as the Voice Call Ringtone
* Select My Sounds (2)
o Highlight the desired Sound, using the navigation keys
o Press the OK button to set the Sound as the Voice Call Ringtone
