Hi.

Just out of intrest has anyone got a MX300 sound card working with a Creative Geforce 256 DDR on a Abit K7T.

I can play sounds alone, but once there is video media involved (MPEG with sound) , the machine hangs every time.

So winamp works but movies and games don't

I've removed the card and the machine works , put it back in and its all over.

I've gone through the major forums but I haven't found this config and error before !!

My total non-expert opinion is that you need to focus on the OS more than the hardware on this one. Seems like a problem in the media configuration..

Then again, I'm just taking a random stab at it...

Indeed, the force is strong with this one !!!!

It had to be some conflict as you thought.

I stepped through all the diffrent drivers in the machine and then I found a link from another thread talking about the AU8830 drivers.

Get them , put them in , every thing works

Couldn't see the wood for trees, cheers !
