Sounding off an air horn in a grocery store

Disturbing the peace is a crime generally defined as the unsettling of proper order in a public space through one's actions.
 
Depends on how/why its being sounded.
If your going around blowing it in people's ears just to be annoying then its disturbing the peace.
If its used to start a sale by the store thats acceptable.
 
If it's really loud, there's a chance it could be illegal in some way.

At our older office building, there is no audible fire alarm. They were going to use one of those canister air horns to alert people in case of an alarm, but OSHA said it was against the law...
 
Yup...if YOU do it, it could be construed as disturbing the peace or other similar criminal mischief...if the store does it...then it's fine...
