Soundcard to Front Case Audio?

I plan on getting the Lian-Li V1000 case with front audio ports. I know the firewire and USB just connect to the mobo, that seems straightforward. I know I can connect the front audio to the onboard sound that my motherboard will have, but how do I connect it to an Audigy2?

Does it have the right connections? I am confused because i can only find a small amount of information on this subject and I dont want to waste money on an Audigy if I cant hook my headphones up to the front of the computer.

thx

If the case has front connections to plug headphones it, it should also come with the cable that will plug in to any sound card's output. Thats the only way - running the cable from inside the case around the back to the outside.

damn, i didnt really want to do it that way. I am pretty sure the Lian Li only have the motherboard connectors, not the mini sounds jacks... hmmm any lian li users confirm that?

You are lucky if the case comes with a connector that you can hook up to your Audigy 2.
I read in a post somewhere that Creative labs want you to have to buy an upgrade that installs in a drive bay and has the required connector.

The post identified the pins of the Audigy 2 and people confirmed that the pins where correct and if connected to the case audio, it worked. But, the connectors where not compatible so they had to come up with techniques to keep the connectors hooked up.

I know this post is a couple weeks old, but how well do headphones work on line level outputs? I cant see them being very loud, Ive tried that myself. My Audigy 2 Platinum has a headphone jack but the live drive has a headphone amp in it, its not just the soundcard line outs carried to the front jack. Its way louder.
