I'm looking for a soundcard primarily for mic input purposes and not so much for playback. Does anyone have any recommendations for such a card that's under $100?
Thanks :)

I would go for separate mic preamp and connect it thru line in or, even better, spdif in
to a high quality stereo sound card like EMU 0404 or M-Audio Delta 44.

Alternatively, cheaper way would be to get something like M-Audio Fasttrack

Its an oldie but still a damn goodie and I use mine still to this day.
That definately looks impressive and the price is great. After a bit of reading on it, it sounds like you can only use the mic input or the line in at once?
As an owner of the gametheater XP, do you have any bad to say about the mic input quality or usability?

I have not personnaly used it but it has the bigger jack for your more professional mics on the market and what your looking to use it for was one of the things it was made for when it came out. If you need to run two mics I would think a splitter could be used that can be had at any local radio shack.
