Soundcard Question

Hey i had a soundblaster audigy 2 card about a year or 2 ago. The card had a option to record what you hear. My current card is a Xfi extreme audio and this option has been removed. other than the Audigy 2 card i had does anyone know if any of the x-fi sound cards can record what you hear without running a line from the microphone jack to the sound card?

Did you look in...
Start
> Settings
> Control Panel
> Sounds and Audio Devices
> Advanced
> Options
> Properties
> Recording
To see if "What U Hear" is checked?

the x-fi xtreme audio does not have this feature available, at least in vista (not sure about winxp). All of the other non xtreme audio x-fi's will have the what u hear feature available.

unfortunately you might have to roll back to winxp (if possible), try a different card, or try the onboard sound (the option is Stereo Mix I believe if you have a realtek onboard).
