Soundcard problems?

Dear all,

I have recently been watching various cartoon clips with windows media player and real one player, sometimes forgetting to close one before opening the other.

There is no sound coming out of the speakers now, so I tried using headphones to listen to see if I could hear anything playing, but nothing. I have checked the volume adjuster and the media player vol adjuster to see if they were on mute, and no?

Can u think of any other way of solving this?

Will have to reinstall the audio codecs or as my onboard sound card fizzled out?

Thanks!

Open your full volume control it in start>programs>accessories>entertainment
Make sure that wav and master are both turned up and also the volume on the player your using.
Also try re-booting if you haven't already.

If that fails then check control panel>system>device manager for problems with your sound device
