Technically value is missing a few connectors, I think. My value doesn't even have a line out, it's depressing.

X-gamer and MP3 plus are identical in hardware and are only different in software bundle.

All of the third generation SBLive cards (essentially the 5.1 cards) are identical with the exception of the software in the packages.

There are minor differences with the 2nd generation SBLive MP3+/Gamer with the Value, where the Value is missing the CDROM Digital SPDIF, and one or two other small things. Again, software is the main differentiating factor.

all cards have gold-plated connectors for better conductivity except for the value IIRC. (prolly makes little to no difference in practical terms)

1st gen - sb live, sb live value, oem cards don't have digital cd-in connector.
2nd gen - sb live mp3+, x-gamer, platinum - added spdif out jack on the card, all gold plated jacks for retail cards, plastic jacks for oem cards.
3rd gen - sb live mp3+ 5.1, x-gamer 5.1, platinum 5.1 - added 3rd analog jack on the card.

old wine in new bottle, the 1st gen sb live is already 3 years old, boring.
