Soundblaster live problems

I am about to get the Soundblaster Live 5.1 for my Gigabyte 7vtxe with the KT266a chipset, but I have heard that there were sound quality problems when via chipsets were combined with the Soundblaster Live 5.1 . Can anybody tell me about this? I have searched the forums, expecting to find threads about it, but I didnt find any...maybe i didnt search with the right terms

Those problems occured mostly with a SBLive + Via 686B southbridge. Your gigabyte motherboard uses the 8233 southbridge which IIRC does not have the problem with the SB card. Visit www.viahardware.com for more info about the problem.
