Soundblaster Live MP3 + 5.1 digital output....

i just tried hooking up my digital output on this card to my VideoLogic Digitheatre set the other day....and i get absolutely no signal to my Videologic's from this output, the analog output works fine, but i really want my true 5.1 sound...does anybody know any tricks on how to get it working...i'm almost thinking it's a bad card....i've tried everything in Creative's manual and Videologic's Manual, and i got nothing...

what OS? AC3 doesn't work with the Live cards in win2k...

runnin win2k...well this blows...what the hell can i do??? and what sound cards do 5.1 in win2k??? guess i'll have to sell this sucker, and snag another one....thanks for the heads up...

might try the hercules game theater xp. it has 5.1 support which worx in Win2K and it has two seperate dsp's for encoding so it could theoretically (w/ a driver update) support 7.1 sound because the second dsp is not used for dolby, it controls front audio functions (ie headphones and inputs).

also, according to sharky extreme's review, the hercules took 5.35% cpu resources in benchies under win2K, vs. the soundblaster live which took 35% cpu resources (ironically performed the same under 98. proves what good drivers can do).
