I have WindowsXP running with a Soundblaster Live X-Gamer sound card and can not get the front output to work for some reason. I just downloaded the newest drivers and installed them, set all the settings that I can find to 4 speakers and it still won't work. My rear channel is working fine. PLEASE help me with this one!

fatboy, is this w/ games & music, or just w/ the regular sounds that Win XP makes. On my newly built rig [using the Live-X-Gamer], my front speakers work w/ all of the regular Windows sounds, but the rears only kick in in games and when my I use Win Media Player  Perhaps our issues are related?

I figured out what was wrong with it. You have to change one silly setting in the speaker setttings. Click the + sign above the sound volume in the mixer, then uncheck "digital out". At least that fixed all my sound problems I was having, I get 4 way speakers no matter what I am doing now. Good luck!
