Soundblaster Live 5.1

Using a brand new install of XP..

When I try and install the drivers in XP, via the downloaded driver package from Creative Labs it says that no Soundblaster card is detected. The card is showing up in device manager as a sound card.. it just has the yellow exclamation point next to it... so Windows sees it.

I know the card works because I just pulled it out of another XP machine.

What happened to the good 'ole days when Soundblasters were fool proof to install, compare to the other brands...

Didn't try that... BUT forced the drivers that came with XP upon the stuborn device and it seems to be working. I havn't tried it out in any games yet, but Winamp was playing just fine. The drivers are dated back to 2001, so I would assume there has to be something better, but it working so I'm not messing any more for now.
