Whenever Windows is starting up, I always get this annoying and irritating sound that plays right along with the regular/default Windows startup sound. I know there is a way to disable it as I have done it previously. Does anyone here know how to?

Cheers,

Is
Start \ Control Panel \ Sounds and Multimedia \ Sounds \ Start Windows
what you are thinking of?

you can just go to:

Run > msconfig > startup > uncheck all soundblaster.

If you do use the soundblaster software, I know its in the options somewhere to shut it off...

Thanks Luden, that did it.

& no it wasn't the normal Windows start sound. It's a feature that comes when you install an Audigy card (or at least in my experiences), it plays an additional sound with the regular Windows startup (so you have two sounds going during startup). I didn't want anything to interrupt my startup sound of Samir from the movie Office Space cursing at the copier having a paper jam.

You also can change Your startup sounds (you need a *.wav)- I changed mine to the THX movie intro... Pretty Cool!:)
