You can order them, people have them, & there are reviews posted.

I'd say that constitutes out.

USB easily becomes unstable with sustained mass data transfer.

TB Santa Cruz has been out for 2-3 years (if my memory serves me right) and it's still at the top of the heap. Creative should be working on better processors rather than fancy boxes and working their dominant market share.

Why do we guys in Europe always get the good stuff so late? (as in, no Audigy 2 on the shelves)

hmm.. would that apply to firewire as well? cause usb cd-rw drives would be kinda pointless if usb were unstable. i dunno

I didnt even know they came out. I have not seen a review or anything for it. I doesnt really matter they are prob too expensive to upgrade from the onboard sound. I am not too much of an audiophile.(not yet anyway ;) )

Nice FUD. USB 1.x isn't unstable, it's just a relatively slow bus. Rather than hanging a bunch of devices off of it, you should just think of it as a modern bus for input devices such as mice, keyboards and joysticks.

USB 2.0 is a huge improvement in throughput, although I don't know how much the CPU utilization is.

FireWire was designed by Apple specifically for high-throughput I/O and it's pretty much becoming the de facto standard for digital A/V systems.
