I'm looking to buy a sound bar at the ~300$ range Ive looked at the sony ht-ct260h/660, the sharp ht-sb60/40, the Vizio S4221W-C4 and the Vizio S4251w-B4. I can't decide any insight would help!

I have a st5560 tv that i use mostly for games and movies
 
From several reviews, I would recommend you look at the Polk soundbars. Now, I haven't heard them in person but they say Polk actually has done a good job of simulating surround sound.
 
another vote for the fh56-bar, great soundbar. much bigger than what one typically thinks of as a soundbar though. mounting can be an issue. I got one for my in-laws, and built a riser so the tv now sits above the soundbar.
